10 Creative RV Bedroom Organization Ideas!

Hello friends, and welcome back to a new blog post! Today, I'm featuring TEN RV-ers who’s unique adjustments for better organization and functionality in their RV bedrooms will inspire you all! RV bedrooms are often small, limited in storage, and "problem areas" when full-time RV living. In fact, my own bedroom’s lack of organization and functionality happened to be the inspiration behind the making of this post, haha! I adore each of these 10 RV-ers, and am so happy to share their creativity with you all! You can find, and follow their beautiful RV journey’s on their Instagram handles linked below:

Salem Cruise Lite by Forest River 241QBXL /Full time RV living since 2019

“To maximize our closet space, and help keep our clothes separated and organized, we made and installed shelves in our closet! Before we had shelves, it was hard to organize things because of the curved shape that our closet has. We added bins for the smaller garments (socks, underwear, and miscellaneous items), and it’s worked great!”

My husband, Tyler, works remote, and was using our kitchen booth most days, but with homeschooling it became a challenge. We decided to take the dresser out of our bedroom since it didn’t hold much anyways. We bought a desk and a bigger dresser, and are so glad we did because it is so much more functional!”

“I made great use of my wall space with one of those accordion hat racks from the 80s where I hung a few dresses, scarves, hats, tank tops, and my day pack. Using a closet shelf organizer for our clothes was a game changer, and gave us so much extra room! We removed the closet door, and adjusted the hanging rod in order to appropriately hang the shelf organizer, and maximize space!"

4. Ashley @happily.on.hiatus

Grand Design Reflection 31MB/Full-time living since 2019

“We decided to utilize wall space, storage under the bed, and IKEA trones to help organize our bedroom. All of our clothing, books, and a few miscellaneous items are in bins under our bed. The trones hold our shoes/baby supplies, and the wall storage helps pull everything together to make it more homey!”

“A capsule wardrobe is where you have a limited amount of clothing items. It can be a certain number of items, or where you just decide to keep only what you really love. Less clothing means there’s less mess. I have 3 baskets of clothes, a few items that I hang up, and that’s it! I haven’t felt like I’m missing anything, in fact, I could probably get rid of more. I keep only what I love, mostly neutral, versatile pieces that I can mix and match. It’s challenging, fun, and I get to be creative!”

Holiday Rambler Vacationer A-Class/Full-time since 2020

“Our Holiday Rambler Vacationer provided us with more storage than I anticipated, but can you really ever have enough storage in a tiny home? My favorite addition has been the mesh netting I attached with Velcro to the inside of my closet doors! These essentially are my drawers for undergarments and socks.”

7. Shannon @Our_RV_Days

Jayco 33RBTS/Full-time RV living since 2020

“We really wanted a private space for our books and beloved photo albums. The area above our bed seemed like a great spot for a long horizontal shelf that we could load up with all our favorites, and it would be a perfect reminder to READ instead of watching TV or going on our phones. It went up very easily, and we are so happy we took the time to create it to meet our needs. Now it's time to go book shopping!!!”

8. Janae @adventureswithtucknae

Keystone Montana High Country 335BH/Full-time RV living since 2019

“I have a lot of jewelry, and needed a way to organize it all where I could see what I had. I found this jewelry organizer and it was perfect! It hangs easily in my closet, and I can store all of my jewelry in a way that I know what I have, and am more likely to use it!”

2015 Prowler/Full-time RV living since 2021

I cut this simple shoe organizer to fit on the bottom of my bed frame. It helps to keep my everyday shoes organized, and has made my day so much better! By keeping my shoes off the floor, I am immensely happier. I hate clutter and sometimes living in a tiny space can be challenging, so every hack counts!”

2020 Grand Design 260RD/Full-time RV living since 2018

“Changing up the headboard area made our space feel a lot more cozy while also brightening up our bedroom. We didn’t loose any storage by removing the doors because the cute baskets hold what was already there!”
